Notion Launches Full Arabic Support in First Major Middle East Investment.

Notion has launched full Arabic language support across its platform, a long-awaited update for its large user base in the Middle East. According to Notion's announcement on 26 January 2026, the AI-powered workspace is now fully localised, marking its first major product investment in the region. The move comes as other AI platforms for business also increase their focus on the UAE.

What the Notion Arabic support includes

The update isn't just a simple translation. Notion has integrated Arabic across its entire experience. This includes the desktop apps for Mac and Windows, mobile apps for iOS and Android, its homepage, and other key sections of its website. For teams that frequently switch between languages, this removes a significant point of friction from daily collaboration.

This has been a top request from the regional community for years. The launch finally makes the platform feel more intuitive for native Arabic speakers, whether they are managing complex projects or just organising personal notes. Users can switch to Arabic by updating their preferred language in the app's settings.

A focus on the Middle East

Notion's decision is backed by strong user numbers. The company states it has millions of users across the Middle East, with hundreds of thousands in the UAE alone. Local customers already include organisations like Emirates Foundation and Emirates Investment Bank.

"The Middle East has emerged as one of our most engaged communities, as the region's vibrant startup ecosystem and rapid digital transformation have made it a natural fit for Notion's flexible, AI-powered approach to work," said Mick Hodgins, GM EMEA at Notion. He added that the company sees Arabic support as a foundation for a deeper commitment to the region.

This commitment also extends to support for the local startup scene, with over 1,000 startups in the UAE having participated in Notion's Startups Program. To mark the launch, the company also hosted a 'Make with Notion Showcase' event in Dubai.

Pricing and availability

Notion's Arabic language support is available now to all users globally. It is a free update and does not change the existing pricing tiers for personal or team plans. You can enable it by navigating to 'Settings & members', selecting 'Language & region', and choosing Arabic from the language dropdown menu.
